Indications botulinum toxin
The treatment of botulinum toxin can be used to:
Rejuvenation and remodelling of the face: raise eyebrows, treat the creased chins, déplisser upper eyelids, refine the oval of the face
Filling wrinkles of expressions: including the wrinkles in the forehead, "wrinkles of the Lion" (located between the two eyes) and Crow's feet (corner of eyes)
Smooth skin (for the face and décolleté, treated by combining Botox and injections of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, reducing agents, etc…)
Botox to however, the contraindications.
What happens during the meeting?
Initially, the botulinum toxin is in the form of a white powder. It is subsequently mixed by the doctor with a quantity of saline. The liquid obtained is injected in very small amounts in the muscles of the region of wrinkles to deal with, primarily the muscles of the forehead.
It is not necessary to a local anaesthesia because injections are just painful.
A session lasts 15 to 20 minutes depending on the number of areas that the patient wants to process.
Against Indication Toxin
Resorting to botulinum toxin is not recommended in case of:
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Antibiotic treatment with aminoglycosides (Amiklin, Gentalline, streptomycin)
- Recent anticoagulant treatment
- Recent anti-inflammatory treatment
- Known hypersensitivity to Botox A
- Myasthenia gravis
- Lambert-Eaton syndrome
